Now I know that Grayden may not fully understand what stories he likes versus what he doesn't like but i'm gonna let you all know what books we like to frequent in our house at bedtime. Some books I just can't get him to actually pay attention to so these are the ones he actually likes (It's probably just the fun pictures but what the hey, you can get away with that when you're 2 months old!)
I absolutely LOVE not necessarily reading this to Gray but just showing him the pages and watching his eyes light up at the high contrast black and white pages with a hint of colored foil. I've read about the black/white high contrast colors and the development of babies and I've found nothing but rave research. I swear Gray was not a week old and he was fascinated by the colors of the book. This one is for sure a keeper!
This one is the cute classic story of the monkeys jumping on the bed and one by one they all get hauled off to the doctor so it's a good story of why one should listen to their mother (or they'll get hurt! haha) and I feel like when he's a tad older it'll still be nice because it teaches a counting lesson as well!
This book is great because one, it rhymes (which every kid loves) and two, It's a great story to really use your vocal chords and ham it up as the sheep get into all sorts of conundrums.
This one is awesome illustrated and is a fun Baby Lit book for your youngster because it introduces them to some classic Literature but at the same time shows them a fun little story. It doesn't neccesarily go through the entire story of Alice in Wonderland but it just mainly has a couple key point words on each page. We also have this authors Christmas Carol from Grandma at Christmas :)
This book is by far my favorite to read to Baby Gray just because I remember this one as a child myself. I love this one because of the cute story about Harry and it's almost like a "Where's Waldo" game when you're reading it as well because on some pages it's hard to spot Harry. Next on my list of classic childrens books for Gray are Harold and the Purple Crayon and Caps for Sale (Some more of my fav's!...My mom beat books into us I swear, as I still love to read today.)
